Nice to meet you
I'm a Filipino software engineer based in Los Angeles, CA. I graduated from Harvey Mudd College in 2017, and I'm equal parts computer scientist, design thinker, social activist, and more (he/him/his)! We'll definitely get along if you're into any of this stuff:
coding for diversity and social good
I know my way around a variety of tech stacks, but I'm strongly attracted towards UI, UX, and HCI. I'm particularly interested in how design interacts with the unique properties and ergonomics of technology.
My research interests include software engineering, developer productivity, learning platforms, and equitable/intelligent user interfaces. I love community engagement and social work, so let's use these topics to uplift traditionally underprivileged groups.
Along with being a Software Engineer at Laserfiche, I volunteer as the tech lead and advisor for the CNH District Technology Committee of Circle K International, a non-profit service organization. I work with and mentor college students through the software development cycle to create helpful tools for the organization.
I'm also a staff member for the Lakas Mentorship Program, a non-profit that empowers Filipino youth in the LA/OC/IE area through identity development and cultural exploration. I want to bring higher education and STEM access to Filipino students, so please consider learning more about and supporting my causes!
